Influences of Extremely Low Frequency Electromagnetic Fields on Germination and Early Growth of Mung Beans

They exposed beans to low frequency electromagnetic field similar in frequency to the Schumann resonance (although not in intensity which is an order of magnitude greater than geomagnetic field and various more than the S.R. electromagnetic field itself), and found that pretreatment increases the germination rate (inclreasing Ca 2+ and K + contents), and also a longer maximun in the length of stem.

That Schumann resonance frequencies at much less intensities, or at earth natural intensities, can affect to biological processes is becoming clear. Here a group of experimental studies on this topic can be found, as for example this one where intensities only 1 order of magnitude greater than that of natural earth intensity cause great changes in the espontaneous contractions of cardiac cells
