Theory of Electromagnetic-Based Communication within Bacterial Communities

They present a model named electromagnetically-coupled system of mechanical oscillators that try to describe the possible electromagnetic-based communication between bacterial cells within biofilms (bacterial communities), under this schema it is shown how individual cells can radiate electromagnetic waves (and which frequencies), and is predicted a synchronization phenomena between those cells by means of electromagnetic coupling, in concrete their model predicts that electromagnetic communication between bacteria is within the kilohertz to gigahertz range.
