Functional roles of three cues that provide nonsynaptic modes of communication in the brain: electromagnetic field, oxygen, and carbon dioxide


In this paper although three highly pervasive cues in the brain are revised, namely oxygen, carbon dioxide and electromagnetic fields, special attention is put in this last one. It is estimated that electromagnetic fields play an important role in the global integrative actions of the brain.
