The Influence of Weak Geomagnetic Disturbances on the Rat Cardiovascular System under Natural and Shielded Geomagnetic Field Conditions

Using a simulation chamber they found that the days of 'geomagnetic disturbances' there is an increase in systolic blood pressure and also affects the heart rate variability (increasing the ratio of low- to high frequency components). Also they found, using this simulation chamber, that shielding from geomagnetic field conditions also exerts its effect, in this case weakening the inverse correlation between barometric pressure and systolic blood pressure.
