Signalling effect of NIR pulsed lasers on axonal growth


It is an experimental finding that pulsed near infrared-light placed at a distance is able to modulate the growth of neuronal axons attracting them to it. The authors propose tha tis can be an indication that neurons interpret the pulsating near infrared-light light as the source of other nearby cells.

And this have to do with the signaling properties of the endogenous biophotons [1].
