Near-infrared laser photons induce glutamate release from cerebrocortical nerve terminals


Here there is an experimental finding that infrared light can induce glutamate release by stimulating glutamatergic nerve endings.

Highlight that glutamate, in turn, is capable to induce biophoton generation and transmission through neural circuits [1] more in section [2].
