Melatonin Levels and Low-Frequency Magnetic Fields in Humans and Rats New Insights From a Bayesian Logistic Regression


The authors show that both human and rat studies show that to decrease melatonin level applied EMF stregth must be below the intensity of 0.05 mT, and in cases of long term exposure (more than 22 days) this strength must be below the intensity of the static geomagnetic field (0.03 mT).

As can be seen biosystems responds non-linearly and is many occasions intensity is not related to the effect (not when whe are speaking about non thermal effects).
