In vivo experimental study of optical characteristics of human acupuncture points

By applying laser light through fibers in a meridian acupuncture point and detecting by collector fibers in other point, that can be other acupuncture point of the same meridian (Jueyin Pericardium Meridian of Hand) or a non meridian point as control, it is found that the that the effective attenuation coefficient and the diffuse reflectance of acupuncture point is smaller than that of non-acupuncture point, so light propagated better along the meridian than the reference path, they also do a more specific investigation of the phenomenon when the brachial artery is constricted.
